Federal and local governments are, across the board, cutting or removing funding for art and music classes in public education. Classes designed to expose children to the arts, music and creative studies are no longer included in some schools, and have decreased greatly in others. Guitar Villa feels it is essential to expose individuals, of all ages, to the arts. Appreciation of the Arts and Music is an essential component of our personal growth and adds the color of culture to every life. We are proud to offer a comprehensive Art & Music Appreciation course that covers history and creative forces through the ages, presented with current popular music and art as the starting point. Previous historic periods will be represented in successive order, slowly regressing back in time. This will ultimately show the student how our past has affected and shaped our current creativity and how we will affect the future generation with our contribution. Diverse cultures and geographic areas of creative contribution will be covered.
